We all had great fun at our Christmas Fair and made an amazing £712.45!!! The children will decide through school council what they would like to spend the money on.

All the stalls were sooooo busy!! We need it to much bigger next year and have already started planning!

Tommy Mosaic 
First, we chopped up lots of photographs into small squares.
We sorted them into different colours and decided how we would show light and shade.
We worked in groups to begin the mosaic by carefully putting together the squares.
It started to take shape!
We think we did an amazing job and it looks fantastic in the corridor outside our classroom!
Year 6 had great fun today with Tanja, a basketball coach, from Durham Wildcats. 
We had great fun looking at examples of Clarice Cliff art and finding out about her life. 
We designed our own plates in the style of Clarice Cliff.
It took a lot of concentration and a steady hand to get the design just right!
We used clay to make a pot in the same Art Deco style. 
We painted them in the colours and patterns of Clarice Cliff.

We have been inspired to write by Danny MacAskill's amazing achievements. We watched http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ_IQS3VKjA and wrote in role as Danny while he was riding the ridge. 
We enjoyed The Ridge so much we watched another of Danny's amazing videos http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ_IQS3VKjA We wrote letters to Danny to let him know how much he has inspired us. 
Year 6 scoured the yard for shapes! They photographed them and used book creator to show off their knowledge about the properties. 
We had great fun with our Minecraft topic. We had to work together to build something from Minecraft while the clock was ticking! 
We knew those empty iPad boxes would come in handy for something!! Last ever bucket filling assembly for Y6 and so lots of brave volunteers led the singing and dancing. 
Y6 had a fabulous time on their residential trip to Robin Wood!
